I just wanted everyone to know I have switched my focus from the M1 rifle,to the 1903.I found a nice WW2 rebuild that I put an NOS High standard barrel on from WW2 and it is aces.I think this is what Garanditis started like?
This was with the old sewer pipe barrel:

and then I got this chromed early low number.

I've have a Smith Corona A-3 that I reclaimed with a NOS 1944 barrel that will shoot WAY better than I can(as do most of my rifles). They're Grrrrrrreat!

Looking good!
Yep, I have a reclaimed Remington Receiver, NOS 2 groove barrel, and a stock waiting to go together. I'm still accumulating the stock metal and misc other parts, hoping by the end of the summer to have her together!

The 1903 and 1903A3 are rifles that you can easily get addicted to. Enjoy !!!!!

I picked up a 1903a3 a while ago, now I am thinking of adding the 1903a4 to go along with my M1D. Oh how I hate addictions. At least its not alcohol, drugs or gambling :)

Sir, You left out chasing Wild Women...Rifles don't cost as much as most of these Habits?? Plus you might get a good return on them someday..But why do I keep getting the urges to order another M1 garand?? Og.

I have a Springfield 03 and a SC03A3. Both shoot lights out! I never figured I'd go for the bolt rifles but accuracy and history both speak to me.

Very nice Ryan, My very first cmp order was a S C 03A3 and its a beauty , I take it to the range when ever we make it to the centerfire range. We all know any rifle you have will be used and not left in a corner so thats good news , waiting for pictures of animals bagged with the new rifle.
