Purchased a 30-06 barrel for my M1 today measures 2 at muzzle and 5 3/4 at the throat. Would re crowning barrel help these measurements enough to make it worth it. I bought it to either save for mine or to resell would having it parked hurt the value?

Okay, you have a 6 at the throat and 2 at the muzzle, correct? Crowning will help the muzzle a little, probably. I don't think the tight crown will help to make up for the sin of the throat though. On the other hand, being a WWII barrel, I don't know that a 6 Throat will hurt much either.

TE of 6 isn't bad. Military reject is 10. doubtful you would live long enough to shoot enough to kill that barrel

Just wanted a decent shooting WW2 barrel to hold on to with the rifle.
