Customizing profile

Trying to figure out how to add pictures or quotes to my profile. Always liked "Speak softly and carry a big stick" Theodore Roosevelt

Jcote, being a new member I hope I'm not out of line giving advice, but I just did my avatar picture.
I clicked Settings at the top right of page, then click Edit Avatar, under my settings (left of page).
Click Custom Avatar, then I chose option 2-Upload image from your computer, then click browse.
Once you choose a picture or image, click save changes.

For your quotes, click Edit Signature, under my Profile (left of same page).
Add your signature in that box and click Save Signature.
