I have been looking for a documented DCM M1D for several years but just never could shell out the big bucks for one
Picked up this M1D a few weeks ago. Doesnt have papers but the price reflected it so I'm OK with it

When I purchased my D it was a local gun show , the seller had the larges military collection I had ever seen for sale. There were 6 or so each M1 Garand, M1Ds , M1Cs, NM rifles, 03s, A3s, 17s, shot guns, as many as 100bayonets, and something like 20 1911s. They were the nicest rifles I had ever seen in one place. The guy was hard to talk with as every one was taking his time. I asked if he was interested in trades and he said yes, I went home grabbed 3 rack grade 295.00 rifles and went back, he said he would take the 3 M1s and 200 bucks needles to say it was a deal. I would have done more business with him but he jsut rubbed me the wrong way. His prices were high but his stuff was top shelf. I have shot a few hundred rounds thru this one and never a problem. I never have authenticated it and have no reason to think otherwise. Anyway it filled a hole in my collection also.

Mine was not stored with the cheek pad installed...anyone do the same? The pad is also not gorilla tight, as it is more a safe/range piece than a sniper match rifle.
Trying to avoid the tanlines on the buttstock. :)
