Hi Fellers, I need a little more info, and since i am computer siezed, or unable to easily post photos, here is the deal..I just had another Gas cylinder come form CMP, which is painted with black paint, it and the swivel..I have to guess it might have been before the rifle was returned to them for distribution..The oddity, not even any punch marks, and the bevel for the Bayonette handle is on the inside next to the tube? NOT Korean as pictured in Cmp forums..Do Any of you have this type in your stuff?? I would like a photo if you do, and maybe your best guess as to Origin?? or MFR..?? I'm not complaining, but am Curiously interested, it seems to be in spec and definitely not new?

Post war gas cylinders don't have punchmarks, and perhaps there was a "beveler in training" that week?

Ha, that might be it or it was a winchester and someone took a file and dressed down the inside for better connection speed?? Who knows, but i have not spotted another like it..Since it was 34 most of the day, I spent the morning pushing a cleaning rod down the military rifles... and oiling choice spots..gave me a chance to look at the different markings on Gas cylinders..two punches? One punch, not punch, one on 7.62 rilfe ids marked pb on the base.. Anyone got a junker Gc that they want to part with, i need to send in one with Tony and get a pretty one for the Safe rifle.
