Once fired Frontier cases .... The one on the left has 2 loadings and the one on the right has 1 loading(factory load)..
Fired from an M1

What's with the ring around the bottom of the case?

From the sizing die I guess...."Note the one on the left hasn't been fired but once and that was a factory round"....

Looks like cases that have been reloaded to many times

Perhaps the Brass is too hard?I had some serbian (I think).303 brass that split there after 2 loadings.

They almost look like they had been peirced while being loaded into the chamber, nearly the same spot and shape of hole.

Very odd...

looks like a ring around the base. Were these factory reloads?

No....
The one on the left was on its 1st reload.(Me)
The one on the right was a reload that hadn't been fired yet....
I have sence pulled the bullet and destroyed all of the frontier cases....with the exception of 6 that are still in factory witch I will shoot in my 1917 Enfield.

I find the way the holes are quite interesting and unuaslly.

Case head seperation in process. Shitty brass. Toss it all and start a fresh batch.
