And transfer its firearms and explosives regulatory duties to the FBI.

Its a good idea, a good bill. Whether or not it makes it out of the House Judiciary committee or not is another story. If it makes it to the House of Representatives floor, who knows it MIGHT get passed. Maybe. You never know. Then obviously it has to make it thru the Senate, thats a big if it will pass thru there. Then chocolate Jesus has to sign off on it where he will obviously veto the bill if it ever even gets that far.

The point is, its a great idea thats long overdue. The FBI already handles the NICS background checks, the FBI is more politically insulated from outside political pressure...the FBI was set up that way on purpose to prevent that federal law enforcement agency from being used politically. Im not saying that never happens with the FBI, but its harder to do with the FBI.

Please: 1) call Congressman Sensenbrenner's office in Washington DC THIS WEEK to tell him you support his bill and his idea. It does not matter if you are not from Wisconsin or not, this bill needs outside support.

2) call your own Congressman and tell them to support and vote for Sensenbrenner's "abolish the ATF bill," H.R. 5522

3) spread it everywhere, post it on the CMP forum, in fact post it every freaking place you can think of on the net thats gun related where pro-gun people read.

Post this link to your FB page and to the CMP forum
