Why should I have to fight for my rights? I thought that fight was fought almost 250 years ago? Am I missing something here

You should not have to fight for your rights, but you must fight for them !!

The libs are persistent in trying to take your rights away. It may take them years
but they do it gradually and constantly. They try to wear you down. They never give up.
Remember years ago when hilary tried to introduce government healthcare. It got shot down.
Well the libs never gave up. The libs continued with their propaganda.
Guess what...now we're stuck with obamacare.
The same thing happened with smoking. First it stated with banning smoking advertisement
in the 60's and 70's. Now it's getting to the point where people can't even smoke outside or
in their own apartment.
Look how the libs are gradually taking away gun rights, limiting magazine size, etc.

So if you don't want to lose your rights to the libs, you MUST fight for them !!!!

Men should not petition for rights, but take them.

If you want to reverse things back to normal or some semblance of normalcy, one thing will have to happen. There will have to be an overhaul of the American University system. Professors and University administrators who push leftist agendas will have to be dealt with, by not giving them tenure. Or something.

This country's obama's, hillary's, bloombergs and other leftist anti-gunners all learned their "the Constitution is not relevant spiel anymore" at the same place...the University system they went thru to become Attorneys, corporate businessmen and other professional jobs. Where they go on into politics later on.

The problem in DC starts with your local liberal University, brainwashing and indoctrinating young undergrads and grad students.

Agreed. I remember all of my 3 kids came home from school at different times. Once my youngest said that her teacher said Mommy and Daddy are drug addicts because they smoke cigarettes. They all came home asking "Why are school teachers so underpaid?" The list goes on and on.

We don't have much of that here in Mt that I've seen.My oldest is in 6th grade, and my other is in 3rd.The teachers are still Americans here...for now.

Good point and I agree. However, the teachers who teach grade school are educated to become teachers in the University system. Teacher is considered one of the professional jobs, certainly not nearly as professional as doctor/lawyer, but to be a public school teacher you need a Bachelors degree plus state certification. Many teachers have masters degrees and most of the principals have PhDs.

I graduated from a University that had a very large education department, graduating hundreds of new public school teachers a year. Most are working as public school teachers either immediately after graduation or within a year or two after graduation. I can promise you, these teachers are heavily exposed to the progressive democrat spiel in spades while going thru the American University system.

I still say, you overhaul the American University system and vett out the progressive democrat/leftist stuff and you ultimately, fix America. Everybody who goes thru the University system ultimately goes onto some position of responsibility or authority in our society. Whether they be lawyers, Judges, Medical Doctors, journalists, broadcast journalists, TV news anchors, Registered Nurses, public school teachers, Commissioned Officers in the armed services, Police chiefs, Heads of federal law enforcement agencies, corporate executives, bankers, engineers and scientists....some of whom end up going into politics and the state and federal legislatures. These are the people who ultimately control what children and college age young people learn outside the home.

You change those people and you ultimately change American politics

The above is rhetoric.

Yep. But it starts in grade school.

Is that the corrupt, capitalist "American University system"?

MrTwistedFock

Hardly

Its the corrupt, socialist wannabe, "lets teach'em to be leftists and progressive democrats" American University system.

Thats what we have now and its what needs to be changed to change DC long term
