Lee Loader to the Rescue

Last night I was priming some SL 43 brass for an upcoming match. I was having one helluva time trying to get the primers seated with my Lee Auto Prime. Try as I may, all the primers were high. '' W T F am I gonna' do now? '' thinks me. In an '' Aha'' moment I remembered my old Lee Loader taking up space in my loading shelf. Soooo, I took it down, wiped the dust and cob web's off of it, opened it up and took out the repriming rod. I put it in the first case, set it on the anvil of my vise and gave it a few whacks with a plastic hammer. '' Voila''!!! The primer was now seated flush with the case head. I did this for the remaining 49 rounds and now all is good. Just thought I'd pass this along to my BT brothers in case you ever find yourself in a similar situation. Good thing I never got rid of that Lee Loader.

Crimp removed a long time ago. All I can figure is the primer cups must've been a few 10000ths o/s.

I use the RCBS dedicated primer, nothing like having a long handle, plus a tighter primer in it's pocket. I tried an auto prime and it felt like my thumb was coming out of it's socket.
