M1D problem

I sent this rifle to mr. Shufflin to convert into an M1D. The rifle shoots fine with no scope, but shoots left with the scope. Is there a fix, I have tried 2 scopes, I guess I need to buy another set of rings.

The M1D mount is a lousy design to begin with, and repro rings make it worse. Look at the 91-30's with the PU scope. You have to shim or file the mount to zero set the scope and even though the mount has a big knob on it, it wasn't meant to be removed once zero'd. I would do the same with your M1D. Try shimming between the block and the rings and once set leave it alone. Stu
