Even though my "Gun Safe" really isn't, it does have magical powers. Everytime I get sick of something on one of my guns and throw it in there for a few months it comes out miraculously cured, or at the least in remission. I had some pitting under the grip on my 1911. In my memory it was under both grips and looked like a loofah. In the safe for a year. I took the grips off and there is only some minor pitting and only on one side. Magic I say.
