Winter Safety

I have received a box of parts with various odd'sn'end's in it and one of the parts is a safety that is longer and can be used with gloves. Did the Garand use a winter safety at any time? Is it for the M1A or M14? I also have a new M5 winter trigger. Same questions apply. Any information is welcome. Thanks,ZB.

Yes,the Garand used a long winter safety,along with a winter trigger that was a lever that clipped on.

Beleive it or not they are a $45-$50 part if in excellent condition as most of them are as they didnt get used

$50.00!!! That means my lockbar sight assembly and other parts only cost $52.00!! I might put it on my .308 barreled Breda as it gets cold up here come winter time.
