Christmas present from Dad

My family has never been big on getting each other gifts but this year Dad hit a home run. I always finish Christmas eve going to Dads late at night and just he and I hang out. This year he passes a box cross the table and mentioned all the candy I eat while at his house. I figured it was a box of candy and opened up to a real beauty. I remember shooting this hand gun as a kid and also remember how proud he was of it. This was his first Ruger so its a special one . He chased all of them having 4 digit serial number and each caliber.
This was always my favorite and is now mine.

Thanks guys, I am looking forward to getting out to shoot it. He give me about 500 rounds of reloads that he said work well in it . I am sure the are mild as he never pushed things . Dad has always logged everything he has purchased , he keeps record or who when where and how much. This one was manufactured in 1966 and is the year I was born.
