I picked up a lot of mixed m1 carbine mags. This one was in there. Saginaw?

Yep, It's a Saginaw.

Is that first character a 'G' was just worried about it being fake.

A few of the manufactures had that "G" style symbol (which is suppose to represent the initials "JLC" ) on their mags.
I'm not sure but maybe it's the initials of a subcontractor. IBM and Standard Products are a couple others that had that
symbol too.

S'G' is Saginaw Grand Rapids. S.G. is Saginaw, Saginaw

That mag doesn't go with any rifle. It goes with a carbine
