View Full Version : reloading data for Mini-G "light loads"?

I just got my Mini-G, and dialed the Schuster gas plug in to cycle reliably using M2 ball ammo.
Was wondering in anyone has experimented with trying to develop any light "gamer" loads, e.g., 125 grain bullets doing 2500 FPS, for punching paper for 3-gun for their Mini-g's. Not sure if such a light load would cycle the action or not, even with the gas plug all the way closed. Seems like it would be safe to start with load data for a 150 grain bullet, and substitute a 125 grain bullet, and see what happens. If nobody has any data, I'll publish the results of my experiments.

You can find light loads for the Garand all over the cmp forum. The issue will be will it cycle the rifle or not and will the pressures be okay. I'd look for some of those threads.
