Imagine the BM1. It is fed by an en bloc clip just like any other Garand.

But it has a shorter BM59 barrel and gas cylinder. It also has the tri compensator and BM59 operating rod.

But could I use a BM59 stock? Would a Garand trigger group fit properly? ( Would the cut out for the magazine ruin the fit of an unmodified Garand trigger group?)

Does anyone here have a BM1?

It's been done before. You have to use a Garand stock, but the rest works.

Walt Kuleck had one built years ago.
He posted pics of his on several forums a few years back.

I've made these for a lot of people. You just use a standard Garand stock and drill a few holes for the bipod to fold into. Piece of cake.

What recoil spring do you use?
