I recall the article and the end results. Bubba went at it with a hacksaw and some files and ruined a lot of M1s. The gun shop Bob Day owned had one as a joke. I will say this, the bluing was not done by the builder so it had a great blue job. But we had a bunch of gunsmiths hanging out there and asked Bob what was he on when he built it. It soon found a place of honor in the salvage bin. I wonder if his son still has it.
