MN/2 Sight base??

Pulled this out of my parts box. Sight base marked NM/2 on the left ear and NM on the right. The threads seem to be 32 threads per inch.
Trying to figure out if its legit USGI, did they make NM bases with the courser threads?
Any idea what the sell for?
