Are 1903a3 Handguard Clips Removable?

I have a NOS handguard and the clips are pretty rusty, to the point of some rust bubbles. Do these come off without marring the wood? If so I'll try to clean them up and refinish.

Justin, they do but they're a bitch. Try some monofilament, loop it under the outermost part of the clip inside the handguard and give a yank. Back on is way easier.
