My wife is about to be PISSED!

$630.00 for a field grade !! Oh well, everything goes up in price.
It wasn't that long ago, when service grades were under $600 and field grades were under $500.
But it's definitely a lot better than gun show prices.

I can bet that they are assembled by the cmp with receivers that have lousy heel stamps and are too pitted for their specials or M1D's. Just my prediction.

As someone who bought one at the tail end of the last batch, my experience is this to a t. Functional though, and turned into a bm59 just fine.

Reports are the last batch of service grades (now shipping) are also getting the grade c repark put together treatment, with only an occasional nice service grade shipping. Last i heard the only returns they might be expecting are a small quantity from the Philippines. The writings on the wall.
Well, there's always the ones the Iranians have...maybe those can be part of the next nuke deal. "Send our Garands back and we'll unfreeze all your bank accounts".

They do, but they cant come in via cmp and the state dept wont let them in through private enterprise. The Koreans want too much for them anyway.
What happened to the M1 Garands we gave to the Turks?

Probably being given to the "freedom fighters" in the region....those middle east loans are never coming home.

Some numbers have came back to CMP a few years ago. There were some featured in the spiring 2013 GCA Journal that had returns from the Turkish Navy. Many were IHCs.
Some have similar white stencil rack markings that appear on Turkish employed G1 FAL. Like 4410 10 B.L., 1095 15 B.L. and so on.
