You have probably all heard the rumors, 86,000 M1's are supposed to be coming in to the CMP. If you have always wanted to hit one of the stores to pick out something "special", the time could be near.

They are still overseas. They have to be packed, shipped, delivered, catalogued, cherry picked by the GCA, inspected, and graded

I think we will see the return of rack grades, though, as the condition of these is rumored and assumed to be poor

At least a year. I bet, magically, three months before these are ready for sale that all stock will be pulled from the stores and online sales page will be marked as sold out.

These are likely to be Rack Grade - or 'Rack Grade Specials' with new wood and barrels - I expect heavy use and LOTS of pitting.

If breaking rules is an option, find someone in Cuba who can get captured Garands from North Korea. That Korean incident should have left some in storage with the reds. . Ship to Canada ( our current PM is a communist sympathizer) and then from Canada to the US through various gun brokers. Now those would be collectibles!

You obviously didn't read the memo very closely. It states that the cmp MAY receive the rifles, which means they may not as well. It's simple semantics. Either way, I don't shiv a ghit, I have enough M1's and don't need any more. I know, I know, good. All the more for ME.
