I’ve got a stripped CAI receiver... not sure what to do with it.

You neglected to offer "send it to me" as an option on your poll.

Does the receiver work? Will an oprod stay in it through the entire rearward to forward cycle without falling out or binding at the front?

Like Bob W said, I think you should immediately pack it up and ship it to me!!

Hmmm... I know it is more loose than the other M1s I have but I was hoping that was due to there not being a barrel to help keep the guide rod from torquing.

Kind of looks that way. Nice of the “Garand Guy” to give this one up.

That was "The Prince" and I beleve that the NOS op rods are found next to the hen's teeth in aisle 4.

lol! My bad Punch! Meant to type prince but obviously didn’t.
But gene manipulation can produce hens with teeth so maybe there is hope for making my POS work. Science !!!

Tim, I looked over the fit of the op rod to the receiver and I think it might be good to go.
Could I ship it up to you for confirmation, and if it is gtg, we can plan a build? If not I’ll pay to ship it back.
Any thoughts?

I will confess to owning a rifle with CAI receiver. I was lucky to have Tim Shufflin work his magic on it. It runs like a raped ape now. Before, an op rod wouldn't fit in the track. I was going to have Veritas engrave something on the receiver heel, but Jason ruined that.
