Heres a few more pics of the Rack Grade Woodless Dane you asked for. Has a VAR Barrel with MW-2 TW-3 . I handpicked her from the North Store
When I got it the park was completely gone as alot of the Danish returns were. I sent it to Tim for a repark (Dark Zinc) ,recrown and trigger work. This was back before Tim was rich and famous :) no website, no forum, just word of mouth.
Oh the days of the Woodless Danes, I sure miss them. Those rifles had alot of orginal WWII parts.

Bill, a very nice rifle. Like you I miss the days of the woodless Danes my first or second year of collecting I bought my limit and wish I would have done it the next year. You're also right about the good parts and you never knew what you were going to get. My best find was a woodless Dane my mail which came with an IHC op-rod and a WRA bolt, ah those were the days.

Heres my best Woodless Dane find, another hand pick. As I remember everything was correct except for the Op Rod.
Wasnt really anything that unusual then to walk in and find a rifle with Lockbars

I remember when those were available for mail order thinking "what the heck do I want a woodless rifle for?" Now I have several extra stocks with nothing to put in them...

I loved the Danes. VAR barrels, lockbars and uncut oprods were not hard to find.

That is a beautiful rifle.
I really like the tiger striped walnut. I don't think I've ever seen one like it before.
