New crown = No finish!

So what do you do when you touch up a muzzle crown and now there is no finish protecting it?

Most folks would cold blue something like that. Let's not forget that Mfgr's like Krieger make match barrels with shiny, no finish, match crowns. I don't think there's much to worry about.

Brownells Oxypho actually works and unlike all the other cold blues it doesn't cause rust.
