Picked up this Type II National Match rifle the other day. Shes as nice as they come, don't believe it was ever fired and probably wont be while I own her
Not bragging but this rifle is drop dead gorgeous. I wish it would have only cost me what the original owner paid, $152.50

I like it. One observation and one question. It looks like the receiver is lead dipped indicating an earlier receiver. I thought NM’s from that era were built on late, maybe new, receivers. Have you taken it apart yet?

Its a 1962 Type II, they were built on whatever receivers they had. The trigger housing and stock have the last four of the serial number written in white paint on them. Its right as rain

Very nice. I purchased a 1932 dated M1903A1 NM rifle, for which SRS had documentation about 9 years ago. I kinda cringed paying for it, but My first love is 1903s.
No a direct comparison, but from my experience, I can imagine what you might have paid for this rifle.
