Howdy all,

I became the owner of a Mini-G (308/mag fed) last year. I started using it for multigun practical matches & really enjoy shooting it. Long guns get abused in multigun competition as they get thrown in dump barrels over and over. I'd like to pull the nice walnut stock off my Mini-G and replace it with a laminate (that I won't mind abusing).

Do yall recommend any particular aftermarket laminate stock? I am a capable wood worker. How many hours of inletting & fitting should I expect to spend fitting this to my Mini-G? Do I need any extra steel hardware specific to the Mini-G for the new stock?

I think the ones from Dupage Trading would work. Not sure of how much fitting will need to be done.

You would have between 10 minutes and 1 hour of work. No other hardware required.

By the way, very cool!

Thats what everyone says when they see the Mini-G at matches.

Most shooters who compete in "Heavy" division (308) are shooting Ar-10s. Occasionally you'll see an M1A, but never a Garand.
I put a Trijicon RMR on it and it runs like a champ.

Very nice. I got one of the winter laminates from dupage trading. Very nice stock took me maybe 15 min to fit.
