Hello all, I ran across a source for reproduction winter safeties. They are made of stainless steel and have rounded ends. In the attached photo, the safety on the right is vintage USGI. The arm is slightly longer on the reproduction and the lower spur isn’t as sharp. I have yet to try it in a Garand, but it appears very useable for $40.
