Type I NM Garand

I have been watching this rifle for a couple months, finally got the seller to accept my offer. This one is right as rain, just as it left production in 1959
Before anyone asks no I will not be firing her, this is a collector piece . I have other accurate Garands to take to the range.

Very nice! I bet you paid more than the $176 the original purchaser did. :)

I’ve always wanted a real good condition NM but the utilitarian in me always says build it myself.

I do have a NM 308 garand that I built to shoot. I have always wanted a Type I as not alot of them survived in original condition as they were converted to Type II garands

Very nice! I have a type 1 that was updated to type 2. It is mint. I agree an untouched type 1 is a rare bird!
