Waxy Greasy Stuff But Not Cosmolene!

All these cosmo threads over at the CMP. THAT STUFF FROM THE CMP IS NOT COSMOLENE! I'm old enough to have purchased real milsurp and that stuff from the CMP doesn't even vaguely resemble cosmolene. I remember scrubbing with gasoline to remove cosmo as it sort of reminded me of thick brown shellac. OK, I'm through.

Looks like basic wheel bearing grease to me. Cosmo its not.

I also have to wonder why folks leave them all greased up like that. They did'nt leave the factory that way, the greeks most likely did that. Clean it and shoot the damn thing.
