127,009 is completely correct.....
75288 needs an "s" marked barrel bushing and thumb safety.....

Great Find. The fact that it is all in one piece is beating the odds. And it appears to have the original finish too. As far as I recall Springfield did not make a lot of them as they had other firearms they were producing. So I would say you have one rare 1911! The last one I saw you had to wear the white gloves so as not to affect the finish. I would venture to say it was not shot a heck of a lot. And it required a special wipe to clean off any residue.
