I'm curious about the color of the original web slings. Were they made in OD#3 or the later OD#7 color?
I'd like to put web slings on a couple of my late war M1's for use at public displays/reenactments and I don't want to use the 1950's models that I have on hand and I know are wrong. I've got several of the foreign made tan/khaki slings that I got back in the 90's, but I'm guessing that those a way too tan.
Here's a closeup picture of my 1944 sling. I don't know what color it is or if it's just really faded.

Thanks,
I found some new made replica's and they are very similar to that. It looks like faded OD#3.
