I started with one, 30 years ago. Here they are today. My new tractor is on the bottom. She's in good company. Top-to-bottom: SA 815xxx (9-42), SA 3.7 (5-45, my "1 per lifetime"), SA 5.47 (12-54, my DOB), HRA 5.62 (5-55), IHC 4.45 (12-53 LMR). I hope I'm done. This is starting to get expen$ive.

Jon, a nice collection. I doubt it's going to stop, however I can stop when ever I want to, really.

I'm not so sure about that. Although rifles will hold value its a buyers market right now. IMO

Nothing else, nothing, affects my business like two things do, the stock market and April 15th.

Another reason that oboombya needs bone cancer NOW. The dump the market took in October 3 years ago or so was absolutely a killer to me. This dump is also a big flat tire.

Jon, GREAT looking rifles babe.

New guy I've never seen selling Garand and Carbine parts. Almost got a new buttplate for one of my M1's

Ammo-same old same old

Lot of dealers hit the Reno show

Spent my money on targets and donated to Calguns and the Navy SEAL foundation.

No mini-G. It does absolutely NOTHING for me. Now a T-26? I'd get a T-26. My father had one in the SWPA in WWII.

Interesting remark Jon. I think I've only ever heard about two people say the same thing you just did. The rest, find the stub guard to me an eye sore and something that will just break down the line. On that note, did the T26 even have a front guard? I don't remember seeing a front guard on the one that was at the Springfield museum.

On a side note, the two that wanted a front guard, I just made them T26 clones. I'm easy to get a long with :)

One more note, since this is thread is about a tractor gun I think, I'll be putting my one and only tractor up for sale this weekend. I just can't stand the winchester or ihc Garands, find them very ugly. My winchester goes too, that's the ugliest of them all. Look on Gunbroker if you have interest in either. Both are correct and UGLY.

Yes, Timmy. The T-26 DOES have a front hand guard--albeit not very long, it IS there.

Have you had a chance to take the IHC out? I wondered how it stacked up to your other shooters.

Jon, I'm talking about a T26 and not some made up tanker rifle. I'm looking for the photo of the real McCoy with a front guard.

Tim,
All I can say about it is that I saw the one on display at SA and it did, indeed, have the front hand guard. Unfortunately I do not have a picture of it.

Roadking,
Haven't had a chance to try it out yet. I went camping this last weekend with the intentions of shooting it. It was soooooooooooooooooooo freakin' hot that I didn't even get the guns out of the car. Then Saturday it rained to beat the fires of Hades and as soon as it stopped it was like being in a sauna. I thought maybe I'd do some shooting Sunday morning. Got up, it was getting hot already so I said, "Drats, I'm going home." I'll try 'er out another time.

Brother Timmy,
If you have Duff's Red Book, look on page 100. There is an S.A.N.H.S. photo of the rifle in question. It is showing two rifles. One has it and one doesn't. I remember the one with it.

Was the T27 the attempt at a full-auto weapon?

From canfield's book:
The T27 was select fire chambered in 7.62 NATO. Still had the 8 round enbloc

I've been quite the temperature wussy this year. With the non-stop 110+ degree days it is no fun. I am also conditioned for a 2nd shift job, so getting up at 530am to be at the range for around 645am is not happening as easy. Even at 6am it is in the low 90's.
