Yeah, ups are dicks when it comes to shipping firearms. I sent one ups and I have an FFL and they still gave me what a way to go. I hate to admit it but usps is the way to go with this stuff. Just make sure you insure the shit out of it.

Oh the adventure didn't end with UPS. So my wife drives me up to the main PO in Atlanta. It's over an hour drive and I just got out of the hospital so I was already grumpy. We go in and start the process and immediately I'm told "You can't ship a firearm." Um, yeah you can. "Are you a dealer?" I don't have to be a dealer. This goes back and forth for several minutes, until we finally ask for a supervisor. The supervisor insists I have to have an FFL. We pull up THEIR rules on our cell phone and show them what it says about individuals shipping firearms to FFLs. They claim I have to "fill out another form." I said "1508?" And she says "Oh so you do know you have to be a dealer!" OMG. I ask for another supervisor, I show her what their rules say, I point out form 1508 is for FFLs shipping a sale firearm, and they finally concede. They charged me a hundred bucks for annoying them. They claimed my box was too big so had to charge extra. And then laughingly tell me it's going to be delivered Monday. I laughed out loud over that. At least it's finally on its way to The Wizard...Comment

Was reading a post on another forum, a guy talking about barreling his M1. Then he mentions sending a rack grade he just got to Shuff's for a mini G and the date was like October 2022. The next post he writes is dated February 2023 and says he got a notice it would be at least another two weeks. Five months? Good Lord I'll need therapy waiting that long for my G!! I hope Tim is making money like a politician, but I sure hope he knocks my G out sooner than that!! I been tinkering with my carbine but that won't keep me occupied that long....Comment

Man I hope not!! Tracking number says it'll be delivered Thursday, if you can believe that, and everything (I think) he needs is in the box. (Nervously wringing hands) maybe he won't have that much in the shop and he can get to it pretty fast....(I know, I'm like a little kid when it comes to my guns, especially my M1s.)Comment
