  • Your favorite chainsaws?

One of my other hobbies is collecting chainsaws, and most that I have were saws that were blown up and I rebuilt them. I used to work in a "general store" that had a small engine shop and I worked in there along with sporting goods, plumbing, paint mixing,window/screen making,etc...Anyhow, I can't really use them much because of disability, but I will say out of all of them my favorites have to be in groups. Main firewood saw would be my Stihl MS361 Big wood saw would be my Stihl MS460 small wood My Stihl MS261 Ok,so what is your favorite/ favorites?

Ryan, I will only use a chainsaw that is powered by green energy. Electric would be fine but one powered by a wind turbine or tide powered would be better. Do you realize that small engines contribute to our carbon footprint and climate change? That's right Mr Denier, chain saws have raised the earths temperature .0000000000000001* celsius (we like to use celsius as it makes it sound like we know what we're talking about) in the last century. Try buying a gas powered chainsaw in california! You can't because gavin understands. Go buy some carbon credits to offset your abuse of mother earth!

When dealing with liberals, always attribute to malice what would ordinarily be attributed to incompetence.

I only take a couple cords of deadfall per year so I don't have anything serious, but I have an old Craftsman 20" my father had in the garage. It's underpowered and aging (like me) but still gets it done, and I don't have the heart to get rid of it. I'd like to think my grandson will be using his great-grandpa's chainsaw and shooting his shotgun, along with rifles his grandpa built. There's a sort of calming satisfaction in that.

As long as it gets the job done there is no need to replace, I have "sentimental tools" myself.
