I expect some time ago the CMP learned their lesson on selling certain type of product and simply found it simpler to swap or sell to a volume dealer. Much drama on who bought what, how much they bought, perish the thought they would make some profit on it. Had to get real old dealing with all the phone calls.
As far as the creosote goes, if it even is creosote, I doubt very much that it even is an issue. Quite honestly all the weird lubes and preservative that encrusts much of what the CMP ships probably defies analysis.

I tryed and missed ordering them..Mineral spirits and murphys soap might have been the key to cleaning them up.. As a teen, I had some creosote get on my arms and back in a swimming area in Arkansas..It took the pigment out of my skin for several years, and would not tan at all..I would be very careful, these days if i found somemore...Defintely respect the nasty stuff..
