All I can say about it is that I saw the one on display at SA and it did, indeed, have the front hand guard. Unfortunately I do not have a picture of it.

Haven't had a chance to try it out yet. I went camping this last weekend with the intentions of shooting it. It was soooooooooooooooooooo freakin' hot that I didn't even get the guns out of the car. Then Saturday it rained to beat the fires of Hades and as soon as it stopped it was like being in a sauna. I thought maybe I'd do some shooting Sunday morning. Got up, it was getting hot already so I said, "Drats, I'm going home." I'll try 'er out another time.

If you have Duff's Red Book, look on page 100. There is an S.A.N.H.S. photo of the rifle in question. It is showing two rifles. One has it and one doesn't. I remember the one with it.

Was the T27 the attempt at a full-auto weapon?
