OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jon
I'm guessing we'll see it up again shortly when the winner doesn't pay. Maybe he thought he was bidding a max of $3,900 and misplaced a decimal? And it's not even in that great shape: look at the locking lugs on the trigger guard, they look pretty worn. And, to top it all off, as far as I can tell the auction listing makes no claim the rifle is correct, in as-received condition and wasn't simply built up from really nice, correct parts. Or am I missing something?
A statement was made that it was found in a crate as is.
Nuts !!!!!!!!!!!
Found in crate as is after someone assembled it from parts??? Even "if" it were original I cant see how it would be worth half of what it sold for
I say congrats to the winner, as long as he or she is happy!
I invested all my money in Polaroid film and 8 track tape players. Let's see who gets a better return!
Stu....dust off the Polaroid film and 8 tracks....cash 'em in the WRA is going back up....."The auction will be relisted. The winner had accidentally entered an extra zero." (post #49 at below link)
