Here is my new toy.

Built with a M16 upper and a NoDak XM lower.

Looks like what would have been fielded circa 1967ish in Viet Nam Republic Of.

Why no FA in the noticable bulge for one?

Now you need a shorty upper (xm177 I think) for it w/ collapsible stock

I have a later upper with the FA. Didn't want to pull it.

I have the later upper on it now and the color matches better and it fits tighter. Probably gonna leave it on.

Want a XM177E2! I have another lower juuuuust for it!

Real nice! I hate all the aftermarket ARs with all the bells and rails on them. That looks nice and clean, and I'll bet it shoots fairly well too.

Needs the barrel torqued and the gas tube installed first!

Yea everyone wants a M4gery now days with all the rails and lights and crap hung off of it.

Kinda defeats the purpose of having a light weight weapon if you add 40 pounds of crap on it!

that looks like the M16 I qualified with in 1970.
