I traded my Win-13 for this...

So, I posted some pics of my Win-13. Another gentleman saw them and told me the sister to mine was listed on Jouster. The owner of that one contacted me. He had rebuilt his to correct parts. Mine was 30 numbers away from his. We discussed my plans to rebuild the one I got. Long story short, here's what he offered me...

"Danny – your email prompted me to do an inventory of the Win parts I have on hand. I discovered that I’ve enough WRA parts to “rebuild” another late Win to correct condition.

No, I’m not trying to sell you WRA parts, but I would like to make you a trade offer:
I have a SA M1 WWII Garand (Sept ’44 - 3169*64) that would be COLLECTOR GRADE except that its TE is 3.5 & MW is 2.5.

I’ve got $1,700 in the SA and the ONLY reason that I’d do this is, as you know, I’ve got a Win 13 that only 30 numbers off from yours (having “sisters” would be cool!) and I already have ALL the appropriate WRA parts - stock, barrel, op rod, trigger group, lock bar sights, bolt, internals etc. - to make it correct.

Of course, this would be subject to you providing more pics and an acceptable very detailed description of that you have. And, I’d be glad to provide you with pics also subject to your approval.

I should have mentioned it was a FG Win-13 I traded even for.

I would have passed if I would have been the other guy sir. I don't like the winchesters :)

Did the win13 have any WRA parts or stock? The SA is a nice looking restoration and as much as WRA's are sought after, I think I'd prefer that SA over a rebuilt/mixmaster WRA field grade. And that's coming from a guy that has 9 winchesters. :)

How about an in focus close up of that GAW stamping without the glare........

No other WRA parts but maybe the lower band.
That's the best I could do on the markings. It has a rather shiny finish. They are there, just hard to photograph, and I do photography as a part time job. Haha

Here's another, not much better. There's also the circle P on the grip.
