Displayed some Garands and information about the CMP. All in all it was a great day. Lots of Garands and other WWII era weapons going BANG.

Was it pretty loud?
Lots of bangs and fairly loud. Many people were jumping when the shooting started. Sort of sounded like a busy day at the shooting range to me
MH,
I was actually a part of that event as a US infantryman coming up RT 30 from the rail road track. I got taken out by the MG 42 as I was trying to lay down smoke for the others near the square. This is a great WW2 event that only gets better each year and the town is totally behind it.

How do you/they decide who "gets hit"?
Well if the others guy rifle is pointed toward you and you see the flash you can assume he hit you at least that is what I do. I tend to get shot often as I dont mind taking hits.

Charlie, that is pretty cool, thanks for sharing pics!
I enjoyed the event. We were somewhat disapointed that we could not advertise the club so more would find out about the CMP. We operated out of a warehouse just across from the German camp. Our friend had lots of military surplus stuff for sale at low prices.
Guess we will try again fhis year.
We brought up all the grades of rifles sold by the CMP to include collector grades for people to look at.
