    SMLE No III*

Yesterday a friend of mine gave me a 1916 BSA SMLE No III* with sling, bayo, and 200 rounds of Winchester white box ammo. It's dead-nuts on at 200 yds. Got a coupla' questions for the smelly experts here.
It needs a stacking swivel and screw. Where can I get one?
What goes in the ears immediately in front of the magazine?
There is a hole about 1/8 in diameter on the rear metal part of the bayo hand grip about 1/2 inch in front of the catch. What is it for?
    Thanks
    Jon

Yah, yah, I know-------pictures or it never happened-----right?? I promise I'll get then up later.

    John,
How do You like those Ishapors? When I sold Firearms I sold a lot of those, but never used one.The quality just seemed lacking to Me,perhaps because I was used to the British made versions? No help on the mount My Friend.

I have two ishys a '65 & a '67 no complaints on how either shoots, good solid battle rifles. The 65 has a bad chamber and rounds get stuck I have to bang the bolt on the bench. So you can guess it does not get used much. I can not seem to locate a surplus ishy 7.62 barrel.
