    New FG WRA Q's

    Well... got my mail order Winnie today and as expected, it has character.

    Before I send it off to Shuff I had a couple questions (again)

    Barrel: TE 3.5, MW of 2 but the barrel apparently was used as a walking stick at some point...

    And this is what I found under the rear handguard

    I did not note any defects in the bore.

    Should I consider just a recrown or bite the bullet and get a Criterion put on? (And Tim, are you expecting any more 30.06 barrels in soon, or should I order one from someplace else if I choose to replace?)

    Should the rust concern me at all? There is a bit of pitting on some of the other surfaces of the receiver, but nothing too bad.

    And finally, should I be concerned about losing some of the sharpness of the stamping with the new park?

    Your "stamp" is strong, I wouldn't worry a bit. Rust looks typical, no worries. Regarding barrels, still not expecting any 30/06 anytime soon.
