Well that was quick...two, maybe three days into the Crimea thing...try and find any Russian mil-surp ammo. GONE. Guess the days of cheap 7.62x54, 7.62x39 and such is gone.

This was one of the reasons I never got into the Russian calibers, everyone always said"get an AK,there is tons of ammo and it's so cheap",yeah, but it is surplus and will dry up,and if anything ever happens with russia then the new stuff will probably be cut off.I don't care if we "reset" our relations with them,You can never trust russia.
"The advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation ... forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit of." -- James Madison (1788)
surplus Russian ammo hasn't been common in years ( just cause brown bear wold and tiger are Russian doesn't make them surplus)
what ever. iv its like being sad that you cant get cheap VW beetle parts out of mexico anymore.
Ehh.. I have 500 rounds for my SKS, would like to pickup some more, but that's more than I need for a long time.. It's just there incase I'm being overrun by zombies and my Mini-G, 2 Garands, Scoped 30-06, and 1903 all fail or run out of ammo..
