Tommy not exactly a conversion. The photo in your post seems to be an Air Service rifle. These mags took the place of floor plate on the 1903s and gave the rifles a 20 or 25 round capacity, they were used in planes during WW1. Sarco has an original for $1000.00. Numrich sells an extended magazine for around 70.00. gives you a capacity of 10 rounds. I have seen reproduction Air servive mags, but not in awhile.

I have one of the Numerich ones. It works fine, and doesn't require any mods.
