    Winchester M1 Carbine born on date?

    Hey Guys I just got an very nice winny Carbine serial number 12558XX and I can not find out what month and year it was made on. Google was a bust. Anyone have any Ideas?

    According to Scott Duff's book on carbines, your s/n is in the October 1943 range of 1245021-1284357.
